Agadir has one of Morocco's longest beaches, a curving bay of golden sand backed by a promenade of cafés and hotels. It was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1960, so it feels modern and relaxed.

The Kasbah on the hill above town gives views over the bay, and the Souk El Had is a big, local market. Taghazout, a short drive north, is a well known surf village.

Its climate is mild through the winter, which makes it a popular winter sun choice from the UK.
